Description: This warm season grass has pretty open and branched red, or pink inflorescence that adds dash of pale yellow in the winter. clubs and spreads through rhizomes. Foliage rises like a fountain from the clump. It is best planted as a border or as a screen and pairs well with Joe-Pye Weed (Eutrochium spp.). Note: do not plant with smaller perennials as they will be outcompeted by Switchgrass.
