Showy Tricktrefoil Seeds


(Desmodium canadense) A nitrogen fixing legume with purple flowers reaching up about four feet. Blooms July to September and attract native pollinators including. Host plant to several butterfly species. Also on Dr. Robert Gegear’s plant list. Plant spreads when conditions allow and looks great in masses. Notice: seeds attach themselves to clothing.
