Description of the Event:
Springtime is a foragers delight as the days grow longer and the thawing ground welcomes back tender greens and blooming trees. Join Emily Carvalho for a guided tour through Clark farm to discover some of the commonly known and not so commonly known edible plants hiding in plain sight in our hedgerows and under our feet. We will learn to properly identify plants and safely harvest them. Whether interested in learning more about plant ecology, gaining knowledge about wild edibles or discovering ways to incorporate these plants into your daily life, we welcome all interested in creating a deeper connection to the outdoors. We will end the program with foraged snacks and refreshments crafted by Emily. Having a notebook or cell phone for note taking is highly recommended. Please wear comfortable shoes, dress appropriately for the weather, and bring a water bottle. Sign up today!
